How long does rhinoplasty take?

What is the recovery process like after rhinoplasty?

Bruising and swelling usually do not appear immediately after the operation. Bruises and swellings begin to form slowly a few hours after the surgery and peak on the second day. Healing begins from the third day, and the bruises disappear almost completely within a week.

Silicone pads inside the nose are removed after 48 72 hours. The splint on the nose is removed after a week, and a thin paper patch is applied instead. This patch can be removed by the patient after a few days. After the paper patch is removed, patients can return to their normal lives.

Is tampons used in rhinoplasty surgery?

If the person does not have a complaint of nasal congestion and the nose has not been intervened, if only an aesthetic operation has been performed, the post-operative tampon may not be used.

If the nose is also intervened, thin leaf-shaped silicone pads are used, these pads are painless.

How long does the nose take its normal shape after aesthetic nose surgery?

It takes between 6 months and 1 year, depending on the nose and skin structure of the person, for the swelling to go away and the nose to take its original shape after rhinoplasty surgery. In very thick skins, this period can be 1.5-2 years.

How should an ideal rhinoplasty be?

Is there an age limit for rhinoplasty?

Is rhinoplasty done in summer?

What should be considered after rhinoplasty surgery?

For about two months after rhinoplasty;

2- Glasses should not be used.

3- Heavy sports should not be done.

4- One should not go out in the sun, should not go to the solarium and sauna for sunbathing without using high-protection sunscreen.

5- Do not enter the pool.
